About Reaction:
Reaction is a virtual reality training simulation for martial artists to train the reaction, endurance, speed, coordination and techniques.. There are targets to be hit with fists, elbows, feet, or knees. Furthermore the training includes defensive objects for dodging and blocking. The trainings position also moves to different positions in order to practice positioning, realignments and to estimate the distances. With it’s many various settings you can configure your customized training, as well as ready-made training settings and combinations for different levels of difficulties (beginner, advanced, master). Also it have a kind of a Virtual Reality Wing Chun Wooden Dummy function. The more you train, the more you improve your performance. As a martial artist in the real world, you have to adapt a bit, you can’t be too tight like in wing chung, but you find fast the way it works. It is also recommended to use controller grips, this increases the comfort and training feeling enormously. It works well with the Oculus Quest 2 because it moves back and forth, so you can also train over large areas. But you can also train well with the PC headsets like HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality and others, it’s WebXR if you have access to a browser, it should run. The Reaction unit is a little complex at the beginning, but with the time you will understand all the settings. If you found your settings, as member (membership is free) you can save it and load on the next training. But for a short try out, it has a quick start button.
